Everything you said in this article is great an all, but let's say some people don't have a car and they live in a suburban area which does not provide transportation unless you are willing to travel three hours or more back and forth a day (six hours total of the day), but they cannot afford to buy a car either, should they somehow just go back to the office? It doesn't matter how much data proves why work from home doesn't work form the employers perspective, from the perspective of an employee it makes perfect sense. So unless you can afford me a car going back to the office doesn't make sense. It is in fact from that perspective in people's best interest to work from home, there is no amount of networking and collaboration from working in the office that can replace that, until that individual can afford a car. The article frankly only applies to some people but it doesn't apply to everyone. Working from home is King.
